MIGRANT PLUS
Migrant Plus is a project of Acet Ireland. The project supports the integration of people from migrant background living in the Republic of Ireland for better health outcome.
We acknowledge that integration is a two-way process where both incomers and the host society work together, adjust where necessary to create the conducive context which is key to a harmonious integration. We believe that a successful integration has a positive impact on migrant general health.
We emphasise on the need to address migration and health in Ireland, and we think that this can efficiently be achieved by approaching the issue within the overarching frame of ethnicity and health.

ACET Ireland aims to improve the lives of those living with and affected by HIV in lreland and playing our part in reducing the number of new cases of HIV in Ireland

We are here for the health of migrants
●What we do
We work with migrant community groups and faith-based organisations:
♦We help them mobilise on issues affecting the health of their members;
♦We provide information and other resources that can empower them for that purpose; we offer them with a tailored support if needed.
♦We support better health for migrants through better integration in the host society*.
♦We raise awareness on HIV and promote HIV testing for migrants. Presently, for operational reasons, we refer HIV test requests to other organisations we partner with.
